Events and Social Activities

St Christopher's Community Eldercare

Offers a variety of programmes including weekly exercise classes (SAYGO, Stretch & Breathe, Keep You Moving walking group - details below) and a monthly ‘Older Persons Seminar’ (65+) on the 4th Thursday of each month. Seminars include a guest speaker, entertainment, morning tea, and a light lunch (homemade soup in winter) for a small fee of $6. All programmes aim to reduce social isolation and enhance physical fitness & wellbeing.

Government Services

Ministry of Social Development (MSD) – NZ Super & Veteran's Pension

Administers New Zealand Superannuation (NZ Super) and Veteran's Pension, providing financial support for eligible seniors. Also offers other financial assistance like Disability Allowance and Accommodation Supplement through Work and Income.
