ElderLink 2025 AGM Update

We extend a sincere thank you to all who attended our recent Annual General Meeting on June 17, 2025. The meeting was a fantastic opportunity to review our progress, share insights, and plan for the future. Key outcomes from the AGM include the formal establishment of our full board and a strategic decision to refine our services to better serve our community.

A Full Board and a Warm Welcome

A significant outcome of the meeting was the formal transition from an interim board to a full Board of Trustees. We are thrilled to have a dedicated board in place to guide our activities for the next 12 months. All existing board members will retain their positions, and we extend a very warm welcome to our newest member, Maria Van Kuyk, who was unanimously voted onto the board. Maria brings a wealth of invaluable experience as the Anglican Church's Elder Care Community Worker and has a background in elder mental wellbeing and grief and transition support.

The ElderLink Board, effective from 17 June 2025, is as follows:

New Service Model for Food Support

To better focus our resources and adapt to our community's needs, we are moving to a dedicated delivery-first model for our food support. Food support requests can be made from Saturday through to Thursday each week, with our team preparing and delivering parcels on Fridays.

To request a food parcel, please contact us by calling 021 081 80827, emailing elderlinknz@gmail.com, or using the contact form on our website. Pre-booking allows us to better prepare for quantities and discuss any specific allergies or preferences you may have.

With a full board established and a refined service model, we are energised for the year ahead. We look forward to building on our foundation and continuing our work within the community we are so proud to serve.
